Let’s work together
Why Custom? Because Your Home Deserves More Than “Good Enough.”
Most furniture today is built for the masses—standard sizes, generic finishes, and lifeless shapes churned out to fill showrooms and storage units. But your home isn’t standard. And neither are you.
Maybe your space was built a century ago, like mine. Maybe the alcove is too narrow, or the ceiling too low. Maybe what you need simply doesn’t exist in a catalog. Custom furniture isn’t about luxury for luxury’s sake—it’s about belonging. It’s about creating something that fits your life with intention.
At Whiskey Burl, I build one piece at a time. Slowly. Purposefully. Using materials hand-selected to suit both the vision and the soul of the space they’re destined for. The cost of custom isn’t in the wood—it’s in the hours. Heirloom quality takes time, and time is the most honest thing I can offer.
The Process: A Collaborative Journey
Step One: Reach Out
Every heirloom begins with a conversation. Use the form below to get in touch—and feel free to share photos, sketches, or anything that helps shape your vision. If needed, I’ll send a detailed questionnaire to better understand your space, taste, and purpose for the piece. You're also welcome to schedule a visit to the shop, where we can review timber samples and talk design face-to-face.
Step Two: Design & Quote
Together, we’ll craft a design that not only fits your dimensions, but also your aesthetic. This is a true collaboration—where my expertise and your taste meet in the grain. Once the design is approved, a 65% retainer secures your spot in the build queue. When needed, I may provide CAD renderings to help you visualize the final form before work begins.
Step Three: The Build
This is where vision becomes reality. Your table, your bench, your bookcase—it begins to take shape in my hands, right here in the shop. You’re invited to be part of that journey. Come see the progress. Smell the sawdust. Witness the transformation.
Lead times typically range from 4 to 6 months, depending on the complexity of your piece and my current queue. Final payment is due upon completion, before delivery or shipment.
If you're ready to begin your own heirloom story, fill out the form below. Let's create something unforgettable.
