Arroyo
Mesquite Live Edge End Table
Mesquite from Arizona. Deep red tones through the grain.
I had a stack of slabs that didn't fit anywhere else. This one was too small for a table, too odd for a shelf. I cut it into a circle and saved as much live edge as I could. Removed the bark. Left the natural line intact.
Simple hairpin legs. Finished with Rubio Monocoat hard wax oil.
My grandparents used to live in Arizona. I like the idea that this wood came from there. A small piece. A quiet one. But it didn't deserve the scrap pile.
I built Arroyo because the material was worth keeping.
