Live Edge Black Walnut Coffee Table with Black Epoxy & Curly Maple Bow Ties
What Was Nearly Burned, Now Belongs

This slab was headed for the burn pile. Split through the center. Too damaged for most projects.

I kept it.

I filled the crack with black epoxy. Stitched it back together with curly maple bow ties. The sapwood had bug trails from years of insect activity. I didn't cut them away. I highlighted them with epoxy. Left them visible.

I built this to prove that damage doesn't disqualify material from becoming something worth keeping.

Commssion Me

Travis was professional, attentive, and clearly passionate about his craft. He shared every step of this process with me and had substantial communication with me while deciding modifications. I had a specific vision in mind for a coffee table, and he brought it to life. You can tell this table wasn’t just built — it was crafted. The craftsmanship is truly exceptional; the table was done with care and attention to detail. Not only is the table stunning to look at, but it’s also sturdy and functional — a perfect centerpiece for my living room.
